TEM Grid Storage Boxes

The unique feature of the Gilder SB50 TEM grid storage box is the circular design with the clear plastic rotating lid. The opening in the lid expose only two or three grids at the time, depending on the position. This safety feature makes this grid box ideal for safe handling of sensitive TEM grids. Storage capacity in the diamond shaped compartments is up to 50 TEM grids. To improve grid handling the plastic boxes are made from anti-static ABS.for the box and anti-static CAB polymer for the lid. Each storage position is referenced by letters and numbers printed on the grid box. Ridges and grooves make these boxes stackable. Dimensions of the Gilder SB50 TEM grid box are: 75 x 65 x 7mm.

The EM-Tec FSB-100S FIB lift-out grid storage boxes consist of an anti-static tray to hold up to 100 FIB lift-out grids or 100 standard 3.05mm TEM grids. The grids are to be stored flat in the tray. The tray is made from anti-static black conductive polypropylene. Complete with a clear polystyrene cover to enable easy location of the grids. The grids are stored in a 10x10 individual storage compartments array with a flat on one corner as a reference. The tray and cover are held together with a single piece slide-on PE clip which holds the cover on two sides. Dimensions are 51 x 55 x 11mm; stackable design with ridges and grooves.

This grid box has diamond shaped storage compartments and a clear plastic sliding lid with a window in the middle. The window in the lid reduces the amount of exposed grids. To improve grid handling the plastic boxes are made from anti-static materials; anti-static ABS for the box and anti-static CAB polymer for the lid. The ridges on the front and back further reduce static and provide a better grip of the lid at the back. Each storage position is referenced by printed letters and numbers printed on the SB100 grid box. Dimensions of the Gilder SB100 TEM grid box are: 85 x 60 x 7mm.

The compact GB-100 TEM grid boxes have a capacity of 100 standard 3.05mm TEM grids and are ideal for storing, shipping and routine handling. The EM-Tec GB-100 TEM grid box consists of two parts. The body with the storage cavities made from low reduced ABS. A clear oderless acrylic lid which slides over the body to close the cavities. Safe storage is provide in the diamond shaped cavities. Only the rim of the TEM grid will touch the sides of the cavity. Each position is referenced with letters and numbers printed on the grid storage box. A TEM grid storage card is provided which each box to record in which positions the samples are stored. Dimensions of the EM-Tec GB-100 TEM grid box are: 75 x 55 x 6.5mm.

The tray and cover are held together with a pair of PE band clips which assets more pressure in the centre of the cover to reduce the possibility of a gap. Preferred for transport and shipping. Dimensions are 51 x 55 x 11mm.

Body with the 100 storage cavities is made of blue ABS with a clear acrylic sliding lid. Positions are referenced with numbers and letters, clearly printed on the body. The sliding lid has also 5 positions printed on the inside to enable easy location. Wider spacing of the cavities prevent confusion when loading and make retrieval easier. Dimensions of the EM-Tec TGB-100 TEM grid box are: 92 x 55 x 7mm.

The EM-Tec CGB-6 premium cryo grid box has been developed in close collaboration with Jan Löwe at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK. Its primary use is for storing cryo vitrification samples on TEM grids. This practical cryo grid box incorporates a number of improvements like a click-stop rotating lid, a vertical ridge on the lid for easy rotation, marked cavities and a unique number for each individual cryo grid box. The base is a round grid box with 4 diamond shaped positions, marking of each position and an index notch. The lid can be rotated with standard laboratory tweezers and the click-stop mechanism keeps the lid on the base and in place when a cavity is selected. The unique numbering makes it easy to archive the samples, to retrieve from storage and to avoid archiving mistakes or mix-up of samples. The EM-Tec CGB-6 cryo grid box is compatible with the FEI Vitrobot, Gatan CP3, Gatan 3500, Gatan 626 and Leica EM GP cryo systems. Dimensions of the EM-Tec CGB-6 are Ø14 x 9mm. The clear lid has a slot which can be rotated to access the cavities. It is held in place with a stainless steel #1 phillips pan head screw.The EM-Tec GB-4 cryo grid box is compatible with the FEI Vitrobot, Gatan CP3, Gatan 3500, Gatan 626 and Leica EM GP cryo systems. Dimensions of the EM-Tec GB-4 are Ø14 x 5.2mm. Screw size is M3x5mm.
