Replaceable ESD Ceramic Tip Tweezers
Overview
Rave Scientific offers the EM-Tec ZE replaceable ceramic tips tweezers. These tweezers combine the advantages of the unique high strength/high hardness ESD safe ceramic tweezers tips with the firm handles of stainless steel tweezers. The material used for the ESD safe replaceable ceramic tips is a zirconia toughened alumina (ZTA) doped to create an ESD safe static dissipative material.
The ESD safe ZE tips exhibit both high strength and hardness with excellent chemical and high temperature stability (1400°C). The hard surface makes the tips extreme wear resistant. Other advantages of the ESD safe ZE ceramic tips are no open porosity and a relative low density (light). The colour of the ZE ESD safe tips is black.
Applications for the EM-Tec ZE ESD safe replaceable ceramic tips tweezers include handling of ESD sensitive components, hard materials, handling of samples or components during thermal, chemical and soldering processes. Generally used where very rigid tips are required.
