Advantages of Brass Gold-Plated SEM Holders
There are a number of advantages with Brass constructed SEM holders that are coated with gold.
Brass provides for greater strength and is also fully non-magnetic. When coated with 1 micron of gold plating this assist in keeping the sample holders clean during handling. In addition, superior chemical resistance of the gold plating facilitates the use of cleaning solutions or plasma cleaning. Clean sample holder surfaces will also greatly reduce contamination transfer to the samples. These SEM sample holders are intended for use with table top SEMs, laboratory grade SEMs and FESEMs and are compatible with all manufacturers.
